Warranty Information

At B&B Decks, we stand behind every deck we build. Our warranties cover both workmanship and the decking materials you choose. Whether you select composite or wood, you can feel confident in your investment.

1. Workmanship Warranty (Builder Warranty)

We guarantee our installation and craftsmanship with a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty covering defects caused by improper installation, including:

  • Loose or uneven deck boards
  • Structural instability
  • Improper railing or stair attachment
  • Framing issues due to installation errors

If something arises due to how we built your deck (not normal wear or weather), we’ll repair it at no extra charge.

2. Structural Support Warranty

Lifetime Limited Structural Warranty applies to select framing components:

  • Covers defects in TimberTech Aluminum Framing or Owens Corning structural products
  • Protection against rot, corrosion, splintering, or failure under normal use
  • Valid for the original homeowner, sometimes transferable within 5 years

3. Manufacturer Product Warranties

In addition to our builder warranty, your decking materials are backed by the manufacturer:

  • Trex Decking: 25-Year Limited Residential Warranty + Fade & Stain coverage
  • TimberTech: Up to Lifetime Limited Warranty + 50-Year Fade & Stain (varies by product)
  • Fiberon: Lifetime Limited Product Warranty + fade/stain coverage
  • Wolf Decking: 25-Year Limited Warranty on many composite/PVC boards

Manufacturer warranties cover material defects, not installation errors. We help register your products and assist with claims.

4. Warranty Terms & Limitations

  • Proper maintenance is required according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Normal wear, weathering, accidents, or misuse are not covered
  • Claims must include photos and proof of purchase
  • Structural warranties may be transferable — ask us for details
