Selective interior demolition requires a different approach from complete structural demolition. The objective is to remove specified materials, expose the work area, manage debris, and avoid unnecessary damage to components that remain.

We do not assume that a wall is non-load-bearing or that concealed materials are safe to disturb without appropriate review.

A written scope matters

That detail prevents a demolition allowance from becoming an open-ended renovation problem.
